Discovering Love: A Retreat for Christian Women Healing from Abuse

Evensong Retreat Center, Harwich Port, MA
Give yourself a weekend away to heal and rediscover love in its many contexts: love for oneself, for others and with God. Experiences of abuse break bonds of trust and may create unhealthy patterns in the way we relate to ourselves and others. This retreat explores the three stages of healing from abuse through the lens of God’s love. The weekend offers women the space to explore t heir healing journey in a safe, spiritual setting through the use of art, music, meditation and other healing practices. There is free time during the weekend to rest in your beautiful private room at the center, stroll by the beach or walk the labyrinth by the chapel.
Retreat is led by Nicole Sotelo, coordinator of www.WomenHealing.com and author of Women Healing from Abuse: Meditations for Finding Peace (Paulist Press). This popular retreat is in its fourth year!
Fee: $200 commuter fee or $310 resident fee; scholarship assistance available!
Retreat begins on Friday, March 23rd at 7pm and ends on Sunday, March 25th with 10am liturgy
