Do you dream about
renewing your spirit and the church?
St. Teresa did, too.
Last year marked the 500th anniversary of the birth of St. Teresa of Avila, the great church reformer whose life and writings continue to speak to the heart of Catholics today.
After twenty years of struggle in a monastery, this woman of faith had a mid-life vision: She could reform her life and the lives of others. But to do so, she had to journey into her deepest self. She discovered that Christ was with her on the journey and, with Christ, she could do anything. Even face the Inquisition!
Journey with St. Teresa during this evening retreat: Bring the challenges you face, the doubts you carry, and the wounds that need healing. You will have the opportunity to learn about St. Teresa and her spirituality, based on her classic spiritual text, "The Interior Castle." There will be opportunities for quiet reflection, connection with others, and exploration of the map to your own "interior castle" that leads you to God and your deepest self.
Join the members of Call To Action Columbus Chapter on Wednesday, November 16th at 7 p.m. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 7 W. Henderson Road, Columbus, OH. All are welcome.
